Church at the Village
Updated: May 5
Church at the Village was able to reopen on Sunday! After a long break due to COVID-19, meeting at the church has resumed with both Village residents and community members coming together to worship. There was great joy to be back together again!
Throughout the entire pandemic, Pastor Okeyo has kept a close watch over the church members. He recorded encouraging videos to share every day, but many members of the congregation did not have access to technology to view them. So he made calls to checked in on those who he thought might be in food crisis, connecting them with relief packages from Open Arms Village when possible.
“I answered every message and every phone call because I felt that this is what God is calling me to do. People needed to be reassured and to be hopeful again, I was glad to be a small part of making that happen,” said Pastor Okeyo.
Please pray for Church at the Village to be a place of hope and joy during this critical time.
