Today I'm excited to introduce you to Mary!
Mary graduated from primary school at Open Arms Academy a few years ago and went on to excel in high school. Last year, she finished her final high school exams with high honors. Now the girl from rural Kenya is attending a university and pursuing a bachelor's degree in data processing.
Last week, Mary spoke at the Open Arms Academy Thanksgiving Day, a celebration of students who have passed their high school entrance exams. Her grandmother and former teachers watched proudly, with tears in their eyes as she shared.
"Thank you, all of you. You may think what you do is little, but you are the reason I am here today. When I think about Open Arms, I do not think about the material things, but about how you genuinely loved me and cared for me. Maybe someday, I can do the same for someone else."
